Welcome to a group from Pont-y-pwl & District Runners – catering for running with young children.
We work to remove all barriers to improving fitness – and believe having young children is no reason not to run!
Designed with the needs of parents and/or carers at heart, the Free Wheelers programme offers guidance, advice and solutions to help parents in Torfaen enjoy the physiological, social and psychological benefits of getting out and being active.
You can take your little one to class with you in the buggy, (or borrow one of ours) so there’s no need to worry about arranging childcare while you exercise. Sessions are free for everyone, every ability – come and meet Alex (who is a mum herself), as well as being a qualified, experienced Leader in Running Fitness. She will help you improve your fitness, have fun, and make new friends at the same time.
Each session will be held in or around the beautiful setting of Pontypool Park. We have a limited number of running buggies that may be borrowed for the session, just let us know that you need to use one before you arrive.
Stay for a chat, a coffee and a snack afterwards, all part of the fun!
