Half Marathon.

Shorter routes will be offered at each training session, so don't be put off if you think it's too far, or too fast. We offer sessions for everyone. These are a guideline only*.

Beginners are most welcome -you will offered structured training specifically tailored for level of ability.

Unless otherwise stated, all sessions start at Pontypool Active Living Centre (ALC). Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm - Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.

August Training plan.

Thursday 9th 7 miles, Gypsy Lane

Sun 12th Port Talbot 1/2 Marathon

Tuesday 14th Speed Session - 5 x 1km 90 secs rest - in Park

Rose Inn Race

Thurs 16th 8 miles Canal-Folly-American Gardens -(Shorter options available)

Sat 18th Race the train, Tywyn - 5 mile, 10k Quarry Challenge (club championship) or full 14m Club Camping Booked.

Tuesday 21st Speed Session - 12 x 400 on/around pitch

Thurs 23rd 9 miles via lanes to Little Mill - Shorter option available

Sun 26th Severn Bridge 10k & 1/2M

Mon 27th Machen Mountain Fell race Category AS 7km/365m 4.3 miles/1200ft

Tuesday 28th Speed Session - 21st 4 x 6mins off 2mins Jog Recovery - Out and back Canal Intervals

Thurs 30th Social run from the Star Inn - 4.5 miles - Multi Terrain

Sun 2nd The Wentwood Weasel Multi Terrain - Approx 8 miles
