Half Marathon.

Shorter routes will be offered at each training session, so don't be put off if you think it's too far, or too fast. We offer sessions for everyone. These are a guideline only*.

Beginners are most welcome -you will offered structured training specifically tailored for level of ability.

Unless otherwise stated, all sessions start at Pontypool Active Living Centre (ALC). Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm - Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.

Thursday runs


9 miles, Griffithstown ,New Inn, Cwmbran

More of a fartlek run with concentrated hill efforts after long speedy downhills

5 mile cut-off up chapel lane and back through New inn

7.5 miles flatish cut offs at 4 miles



Time Trial from the Teazer pub in New Inn

 2 mile warm up to start, 1 Mile time Trial /half mile out and back (no Puddles on this section)

2 Mile cool down back to pub, good  food can be ordered
