Half Marathon.

Shorter routes will be offered at each training session, so don't be put off if you think it's too far, or too fast. We offer sessions for everyone. These are a guideline only*.

Beginners are most welcome -you will offered structured training specifically tailored for level of ability.

Unless otherwise stated, all sessions start at Pontypool Active Living Centre (ALC). Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm - Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. Friday Free Wheelers Group (Buggy Running) is at 12.30pm

Thur 15th Afon Llwyd in reverse - 7.1 Miles  https://www.goodrunguide.co.uk/RouteMap/MyRoutes/537822                                                            Out of park onto Usk Road, up to the turnpike, right onto the Highway. Left onto Golf Road, left onto Laburnam Drive. Follow Laburnam Drive all the way back onto Golf Road. Turn left. Top of Golf Road, turn right onto Jerusalem Lane. Bottom of Jerusalem Lane, turn left onto Newport Road. Follow Newport Road around, bearing right past the Lower New Inn. Turn right onto Pont-y-Felin. At end of road turn left onto New Road, then left again onto Station Road. At end of Station Road, turn right up South Street. Follow the road all the way over the top of Griffithstown, back down Stafford Road and Maesderwen to go back into park.

Thurs 22nd Pontypool Hilly 8 in reverse  https://www.goodrunguide.co.uk/RouteMap/MyRoutes/537825.                                                                                                        Usk Road park gates, up to Maesderwen, pick up cycle track, down to Station Road - turn right up past Panteg Hospital. Turn right along Stafford Road, forward onto Blaendare Road. All the way up Blaendare Road, turning right just past Race Methodist Church, down to A472. Cross A472, onto Crumlin Road and turn left. Continue along Crumlin Road until Parke’s Lane on right. Continue on Parke’s Lane, bearing left towards top - to Tranch Road. Right on Tranch Road, then left onto Penywain Lane. Continue forward, Penywain Road, Merchants Hill.Bottom of Merchants Hill turn left on Osborne Road, then right onto George St. Continue forward along to Freeholdland, then right up Lower Leigh Road. Continue up Leigh Road to top, then turn right on Penygarn Road. Left on Channel View, left again to loop the Woodlands/Park Crescent. Back to Channel View, staying left to come back down Penygarn Hill. Into park at Museum Gates.
